I think that is not true, as long as they approve your i485, you are perm resident.... the plastic card just the evidence of that status... (if you lost the plastic card, that means you are not PR anymore?) Thanks

the officer didn't collect my EAD and AP, I still have it even now. the approve letter is different from the letter which is issued by CSC. i went to stamp, they saw my letter, they won't do the i551 form, and just stamp it... Thanks
