    I heard from a friend that it is taking about 4 weeks to get AP at local INS centers. Is it true ? Has the fee gone up to $120 ? Are they asking for any evidence to show that the applicant was never out of status ?

    My attorney says that pre-180 days job change is OK According to my attorney, a future employment offer letter from sponsoring employer and employment letter from current employer is sufficient if RFE issued in case of pre-180 days job change. Since INS takes atleast 8 months to open 485...

    Are you asking about EAD Fee ? I paid EAD fee in the form of a money order for $100. If you are talking about 485 Fee, it is shown clearly on the 485 receipt.

    Received Receipt Yesterday RD : 08/29/01 ( Mail Date was 08/28/01 ) ND: 10/30/01 Got EAD in 2 hours from local INS office.

    Thanks for the info, but still have questions !! What is the source of this info ? If 8/29 is the Date of Entry, why people with 8/22 are still waiting for the receipts ?

    IIO was of no help !! I have called VSC a few minutes ago. The lady IIO was not at all helpful. Once she said they are still opening applications received in August 1st week, then she changed it to second week. When I asked her to check my details in computer, she was not interested in doing...

    Why VSC stopped only 485 receipts ? While people are receiving 485 & 140 approval notices without a break, why there are no 485 receipts after 10/17 ?
