i walked in today as well for my wife's pp stamping at the SFO center. it was clearly written that only infopass appts will be accepted after October.

i had been approved on july 15th, got stamped on july 23rd. no card yet. had to go to India for a business trip for a 2 weeks. returned through SFO. went into the 'permanent resident & citizens' line for the very first time in 6...

in my case, i got the approval letter but the status online said that they were still working on my case.
then more than a month after stamping, the status changed straight to 'card processing completed'
dont really care what the online status says... as long as it doesnt go...

no one even asked for the original. it was an in/out operation - very fast. my office was SFO.

in 5 years you are eligible. but then the process takes another year - so really 6 years or 6*365 = 2,190

I drove down to 630 Sansome street at around 5:45am today. that is the ideal time to go as there will be maybe 20-30 people ahead of you, and the line will start moving inside the building in another 30mins.
