I thought universities are not subject to the H1B quota? I didn't realize that. So even if I were to get the No Objection favorable recommendation today and get my next visa before my J1 expires, I have to leave the country and get back in?

They received my application on Feb 15, but they didn't requrest sponsor views till last week. I suppose the same may happen to you. I have no idea if this is a good sign or not; of course my application is still pending.

Thanks. My profile does not show anything listed as "requested". If they received the NOS on Feb 26 and still haven't requested sponsor views, and the case is still pending, what could this mean?? I did try entering other case numbers, it looks like they usually make the decision or request...
