    Settlement Memorandum Sent

Questions for CIS Hi Rajiv I would ask the CIS the only one question. In a communication published earlier they claimed to be issueing 20,000 green cards per business day. Assuming this nunber includes renewals too, the total number pending is 1,875,424 (1,236,226 I485's and 639,198...

    Moderator Attention Needed.

Everybody has the right to their own opinion - remember. If M101 has a opinion let him have it - lets not reply. Everybody can spot a troublemaker.

    Fast Approval Theories.

You can only get an RFE if they start working on your case. The important fact here is that they started on the case, not generating the RFE. Normally, CIS looks in your file twice, once when they receive it to validate the entries, fee etc. Second, when it is being processed. Opening a file...

    USCIS boasts of accomplishments...

Karns They mastered the fine art of communicating something without saying it. It got me too at first. Read again, they will achieve the goal in 12 out of 33 ASC's, possibly in the states of Idaho, Wyoming, N and S Dakota.

140 Dtae now is may 08

Initiating a query means someone will look into the case to determine why it is still not completed. They should have already started processing that case. My best guess would be those type of cases are more complicated and require more investigation.

140 Dtae now is may 08

Manoj That is also specified in that page. If 30 days have passed and you haven't heard anything - call them. In my case, when the processing date for EAD had passed, I called them. That was the answer they gave me. After 30 days when I called again, they did initiate an enquiry. Some...

140 Dtae now is may 08

Well, in the same page they have defined the processing date, it does not mean approval. It means they are processing case received on or before that date. The approval will be issued when the processing and review is completed, which may be about 30 days. I that are correct, expect a flurry...

    H1B cap reached

Don't bet on it I don't wish to be the spoilsport here. But, according to CIS statistics, they need 2 months to process new H1B applications(current processing date is Dec 12th). So it will be April when they are done with these H1B cases, by which time new applications for FY2005 will start...

    My conversation with USCIS Lawyer

My 2 cents Thank you very much Mr Khanna for your efforts. In addition to the three main points already suggested, I would suggest the following: 1) Start E-filing of I485 and address change(AR11) ASAP. This will reduce the work load of USCIS by a great deal. Currently we need to fill out...
