Case status not available at 800 number?
My spouses 485 case status is available online but is not found by the 800 number. There have been several LUDs in the past 2 weeks. there was a status change to Address Change request also last night (the address change was done in mid-Feb and the...
Usually if the case is transferred to a local office, it will get approved (unless you are doing some fraud). I do not know of any case that was transferred to local office and it got denied. The reason a case is transferred to local office is because they want to interview you and check you out...
AAO is the Administrative Appeals Office in Washington DC. That is the last resort to getting your application approved (unless you want to go to court, and the court will be the last resort in that case). Usually AAO takes anywhere from 6 months to a year to decide on the applications. If your...
If you are filing a MTR and or a Appeal (i.e. you are filing a I290-B), then if the officer is not satisfied with the MTR argument, they will send it to the AAO. They do not deny in such cases. If you only file MTR (this is based on your denial letter and what you can file), then there is a...
My 140 approval mystery has been solved today. My 485 was approved on 12/17/2004 after a Motion to Reopen. My 140 still shows as pending and no approval letter on 140 has been received by my company or lawyer.
I had filed for FOIA for my 140 and have received the papers today that show that...

Did stamping on 01/07/2005 and finally Card Ordered today. I have changed my address since passport stamping. I received the address change confirmation on my 485 last...
Received an email in the evening stating that USCIS has responded to my request .... basically they have sent a notice for my address change. I dont think I am getting my physical card soon. What the hell ..... this is an unending saga. Sorry for venting out so loud ... the whole process sucks...
Another LUD today. Talked to the officer in VSC again. I had an address change. He told me that I had called them on February 08 and I need to wait till March 18. If I do not receive my card till then, I can call them again.
I hope I do get my card by then.
Finally another LUD after one month. I hope my card will be ordered after a week. Please note that I had done stamping in San Antonio and I had to move to another project in Mid-West in my company where I was getting a better role. I had changed my address on my I-551 by calling VSC and also on...
My wife applied for her renewal EAD on 01/24/2005. Her EAD is still pending. I dont know what is going on with USCIS. They seem to have stopped working. I have not received my card also even though it has been more then 45 days that I have done stamping. Another friend who did stamping 10 days...
Folks,
I have a couple of questions:
1. How soon does a LUD happen after a address change. my 485 is approved and I am wiaiting for my card. I called and changed my address on 02/08/2005. No LUD till now.
2. My wifes 485 and EAD are pending. She called yesterday to get the address changed...

I am very sorry to hear about what you are going through. The only thing I will say is that be careful with what documents you submit and what you do not. All the documents you submit for your MTR should be carefully selected and should not conflict each other.
The other piece of advice I...
