Filing H-1b in grace period of H-1
My F-1 Visa ends 5/11/2005. Theoretically, I have a grace period until 7/10/2005, since F-1 allows about 60 days of grace period after the F-1 expires. As far as I know, it is possible to file H-1b in this grace period. I have a job in public university, so H-1b is not under the cap...- macdeutsche

depature date after h-1b expires
When would I depart the States after the employment period is over? My employment starts from 7/1/2005 to 6/30/2006. I don't have H-1b (I-797) yet, but I should be getting it soon. Do I have to get out of the states in 6/30/2006? Or are there any grace periods?- macdeutsche
