Hi all, is it possible to apply for a passport for an immediate travel if I only have an itinerary (and all the other supported documents) from the travel agency?
I might need some time to finalize my travel date so I am unable to get a ticket right away, but it will be around the time of...
Hi, on the second page of Form 445, in which we are supposed to answer a series of questions, do we sign the form using our normal signature (mine is illegible) or print our name?
Is there anything else I need to know about this form other than answering NO to all questions and sign it...
Hi all,
I am planning to apply I-130 for my spouse, who is still overseas now. When applying I-130 for a spouse, which of the following do I need to submit?
- Her current passport
- My foreign passport
- My US passport
Thanks you!
1) How soon should we file I-130 for our spouse? (My oath date is in two weeks) Will it delay things a lot if I do it later than sooner, or the processing time is the same?
2) There are a ton of info on this forum on how to prepare for N400 and the interview, but I can't find extensive info on...
TripleCitizen, did you get your US citizen last or you got another one after US?
Also, which Canadian consulate should I call? I tried the US ones but none of them have real person answering calls.
How much time do you need to get the original?
I sent mine in for translation at a local translation service and it only took them two days to do. I am sure they can get it done in one day for me if I pushed for it. Good translation services can handle almost any language you want them to...
Yes but I sponsor my family with Canada PR as well so they can stay in Canada until I bring them to the US. That way, I can tend to them by just driving 2 hours, instead of flying 12 hours.
They will not ask for your letter. If you want to be sure, bring a copy of the Selective Service letter with you (along with the receipt) and ask them to call SSS to confirm your status.
In your opinion, what should I do? Given my current schedule, there is no way for me to get a US passport in time to get the Canadian PR stamp on it. If I don't get the Canadian PR stamp in time, the whole case is closed and thousands of dollars will go down the drain. Again, my main reason...
Would it be a problem if Canada knows I am trying to enter with a foreign passport from a country that only allows single citizenship? (which means I should have given that up upon getting my US citizenship)
I was handed Form N-445 and on it, it says "You must bring the following with you" and the only thing that was marked was:
Permanent Residence Card
But it looks to me that item 1 is needed as well "This letter, WITH ALL THE QUESTIONS ON PAGE 2 ANSWERED. TYPE OR PRINT ANSWERS IN BLACK...
Thanks yummyk and jackolantern. Will the US border be looking for my foreign travel stamp on my US passport? (which I won't have since I am using foreign passport to visit another country)
Hi all,
I just passed my interview. Thank you so much for all your help (Bobsmyth, Jackolantern, et al.), I will share my experience in another thread soon.
I have a few questions on traveling with passports that I want to make sure I am doing right.
Right now my passport has a visitor...
I spent most of the six to seven months in the states before applying for my citizenship. However, I was out of the states for 28 days visiting family in Canada before filing (because my darn lawyer said it was ok), stayed around for a few days, and went up to Canada to visit family again...
Thank you Bobsymth, good info as always. Do I just add the line you mentioned to the bottom of the letter above, like this:
To Whom It May Concern:
This is to confirm that ____________ has been renting two rooms from my 4-bedroom home property at [ address ] from ______ to present. His...
