I too have a 2002 PD, but later than yours. So i should be getting it after you ;-) . I assume there aren't ton of (PD 2000,2001 )India EB2 folks with RD prior to July 2006.
Did you speak to IO ? The customer service reps just read the info on the status check webpage. And the lady i spoke today doesn't understand the term priority date . What a customer service.
I am seeing mixed reports. My attorney said they are re-using FP. Another attorney implied all those did FP July 2007 and later will get their FP re-used.
Still some folks reported they got approved without getting another FP notice. So, anything with USCIS will get 200 opinions from 100...
Now that they are in spot light ( no more excuses in the namecheck front ) because many more applications are elgible to be processed, they are trying many tricks . What if somebody doesn't have copy of 10 year old document ? They can set aside that application and then proceed with something else ?

But, with the horse-trading in substitute labors by many of those desi consultanting companies, you could see a lot of India EB2 PDs with 1999,2000priority dates.
There is something circulating in immigration forums that they 're-use' FP , so one need not go for finger printing again. Since you are concerned now, could you call the customer service and ask whether they are going to re-use FP ?

"USCIS is now taking biometrics electronically. As such, in most
instances, they can simply rerun the search electronically rather than
requiring the individual to return to the ASC for new prints."
No wonder people getting...
So, a section of those who applied I-485 earlier are kind of losers , becuase it may take several weeks for the send FP notice - receive FP cycle. By that time fresh applications with unexpired FP will get adjudicated before the older ones.
