I know you travel a lot wantmygcnow but I think you are missing a lot of changes to RTD visa requiremnets, there is a thread you created http://forums.immigration.com/showthread.php?t=202208 , read the last 20 posts and there are info and links to embassies showing those changes.
He will face the same scenario with RP if he has only 2 months validity... so RP is not the solution.
he will get all the hussle in the world to get a visa in the RP.
I think we "common people" are the last to blame in this situation since the brainiac, that holds a diplomatic entity in Egyptian embassy and deals with visa requirements everyday, issued the visa on semi-expired RTD.
WillH doesn't have to know that the 6 months are required.
you sure have to report the status change to your school for your benefit, you are entitled to Financial Aid, also they will decrease college fees since you are not an international student any more
Man, when I was waiting for my letter from USCIS, I greet the postman everyday... we became friends... I was almost going to help him deliver the mail to the area.....
So it was the USPS mistake and not a delay from USCIS, coongratualtions Kica
I'm so sorry... you can send any notice.
I sent when i applied for my friends the biometric one. and they received the RTDs with no problem.
if you read it says
so it seems that you can send any I-797C
I797C notice for the GC is the biometric letter... right?
When you applied for the GC, you received I797C notice by mail and you took it to the immigration center, and they stamped it and took your fingerprints... etc..
so send a copy of this I797C notice... some call it biometric letter...
We are still trying to catch up with your IQ... give us more time.
It is the same address include a letter explaining the expedition request with the application and write on the outside of the envelope "expedited" with big fonts.... and you should return the old one since it is not expired.
it is true, you can send the RTD application to USCIS without fees since you already paid for the GC, include a copy of the GC biometric letter with the RTD application.
Airlines will not refund you, they will give you credit for a future ticket "just like mh66ii said "voucher"" this voucher...
If you are asking about how asylees don't need EAD, I attached a file you can present it to the employer.
We all.. don't need EAD, only unrestricted SS Card.
As best as I know:
GC approval is the time rule, send the EAD application with biometric letter before GC approval "meaning ASAP"
However, you should notice that an asylee with unrestricted SS Card doesn't require EAD, this has been discussed before and proofs were attached. "read previous...
call the asylum office next Tuesday and explain to them your EAD status and that you didn't get the asylum grant letter, you will surely need it. your new I-94 and the grant letter.... no harm at all in calling them ASAP.
Enjoy...
