Applied on 11 Jul and recieved file no. on Oct 5. Earlier I had mentioned that I received file no on 11 Oct. It was wrong.

When you buy cashiers check you will get original and also carbon copy. You keep the carbon copy and send the orignial to the consulale. Call the bank and give them the number and they will tell you whether it has been cached or not.

US $325/ Adult, make a postal order or cashiers check. Cashiers check is preferable. So that you can track whether the check has been cashed or not.

I applied in July and they asked me to wait for 20 weeks, I don\'t understand why they give different times to different application.

GCCrusador! What makes you say that? What makes you say that he won\'t get it by march ? Things go in parallel, they won\'t start his background check after he submits medicals.

Thanks Jaic. Mine said "20" weeks and this is my 7th week.  

No I did not had any problems. Not even a single question asked. They were rather happy. You can take your bank statement and try to get an invitation letter from a canadian friend. I wanted to see Niagra falls from Canadian side also. But they did not asked me anything about immigration etc.

I got multiple entry visa .. and its valid for two years, they charged me about $100/-( i don\'t remember ). When I first entered into canada they gave me 3 month entry. I think you can stay there but you need to come back to US for interview etc.

40 weeks the maximum time but it can be anytime between 20 - 40 weeks.

Not yet sir. The letter mentioned I should get reply in 20 weeks. Two weeks are already over.  

Police station or court house or Mail Boxes etc or If you still cannot get it then contact FBI directly. Get NY phone no from http://www.fbi.gov . Hope this helps.
