By setting so many interviews they have ensured they will exceed the OC quota. That means they are taking "unused" quota from another region. The rules allow for that, and the way they have made capacity available means it's going to happen.
Auckland only took 4 cases at numbers under 2100 - so...
Wow Suva took 100 cases today. Congratulations - they decided to blast through the regional quota
They didn't quite reach the VB limit - but OC2599 was the highest.
Just to point out, there are two questions on the entry regarding chargeability. The question number 5 is place of birth. I'm sure you chose Algrria as you said.
However, question 6 is ONLY answered in cases where your chargeability is different for some reason than your place of birth. SO...
You could file a mandamus lawsuit to try and get action, but chances are they will finish your 221g soon anyway. But it's your choice. I think Curtis Morrison charges about $4k
Yes this took longer than other cases. Although the order reads as a simple decisive decision, they clearly struggled with it in some way - especially as they were reversing multiple highly regarded Federal Judges (Mehta and Chutkan have taken the many of the J6 cases).
No, you are not. As Sm1smom and Susie pointed out your understanding was incorrect, and there is no place where my website says place of birth is important for a derivative in the circumstances you describe. You will be charged to Australia after marriage and the fact that the UK are in the...
'1. It is too early to know how high (how risky) your number is because we don't know how many people are selected, we will know more after July/August, and then we would know even more after January 1. You could delay your DS260 submission if you want, but again, the risk of that delay is...
It is a random selection. The reason that OCers often get selected more than once is that the chance of selection is higher in OC than other regions. Each region has its own draw, and a low number of entries for the number of selected cases means higher chance of selection.
Having high numbers...
Are you aware that all states have vaccination requirements for school entry?
Maybe you can pick a state that has exemptions if you don't mind being in those states...
And it's not that I am suggesting you could do the "every couple of months" thing forever, that would not be my advice, because sooner or later they will be a nuisance.
I can't remember exactly, but that is mostly because quotas themselves were never really tested prior to DV2022 and DV2023. The caps were never fully me. OC is the closest of the regions to meet the quota in DV2024, and SA is close too. And yes you are correct the 7% cap can't be hit by any...
Big caveat. DV2023 and DV2022 taught us that the government aren't quite as "logical" or even in control of the numbers as those of us like you who can do the math. There is always the possibility of a surprise.
