Curtis Morrision, my lawyer on the UK lawsuit has offered to pass on your case details to the government lawyer in order to bring some extra attention to your cases. This would be in addition to anything else you do and I don't think there is any harm in...
Three cases from the UK 43 are doing AOS as far as I know.
On the consular processing side, 16 cases have been scheduled, 15 in London, 1 in Abu Dhabi. The ABD case was a big shock to me since that one jumped ahead of many cases waiting for interviews in ABD - and strictly speaking should not...
There is no harm in telling them about the error, the announcement or the lawsuit. Say whatever you need to say (truthful) to make them do what you need.
Mark, it's Simon. The "contact us" link won't work to speak to Mom, and Mom is who you want to speak to. So - ask your question here. Don't be shy - everything has been discussed before.
Cert III doesn't meet the standard required - it is equivalent to O levels in the UK system. She would have needed two further years of secondary education.
Working as a legal secretary also doesn't meet the requirement for DV - so she would need to uplevel her role, perhaps toward mangerial...
You have to make this decision.
On the one hand you have a stressful few weeks with an uncertain outcome, and on the other hand you have a sure thing with some inconvenience for travelling.
Wittering on about the date on the letter is completely pointless. Your process will be over by...
Procrastination at this point is not good. Pick between CP and AOS and stick with it.
You could switch back to CP - KCC and the London embassy are being extraordinarily accommodating to the lawsuit beneficiaries. If you want to switch to CP, you could do that.
"it is still unknown whether there will be enough visas by September 30."
That is not correct. It is 100% certain that there will be enough visas left by September 30th.
Thanks Mom -great input. I just had a call with this lucky winner and he most likely going to use the AOS route. So - I read him your comments and he will be looking to get the medical done - he needs to focus on the critical path items. He'll register here and announce himself, and fill in any...
Mom - quick question. One of these UK new cases is in the USA and wondering whether to file AOS or do CP.
I'm pretty sure they are going to expedite the CP cases because of the lawsuit (and the judge will want reports etc) but that would be harder with an AOS case (different agency that we...
It became clear that they screwed up the draw by making UK born people eligible, but forgetting to select anyone from the UK in DV2025 or 26. They also selected winners from Cuba in DV2026, who were supposed to be ineligible.
Obviously no one was gonna sue the government for a 1 in 100 chance...
Mom, there is a person who says they could not register in the forum to ask you a question - so he has posted the question (about FTJ) on my blog.
He is basically asking for the correct way to file the I-824:
"
Hi BritSimon, you said I send the question here you’ll ask sam1ns mum on my...
