Thanks Niladri. That was very detailed and informative. True abt the bangladeshis bit, Rome was swarming with them when I was there last
. Good Luck with your replacement card.
Hi
My 8 yr old daughter got approval notice and the FP (code 2) notice the same day. Am pretty sure your son's FP notice will be there soon. If you are in a hurry, take an infopass and try to get them to issue a FP notice. Once the Fp is taken, things move very fast. I remember my daughter had...
Dont try a stop payment. The person who did that posted back saying that it backfired badly and later he had to pay both the fee and the penalty. Just forget about it and relax. Dont try and do anything.
Congratulations EB10182007. Good to see another approval from this forum. All the best for your 485 processing.
To all the others on this forum, I hope your approvals come thru ASAP.
Now that I have my green card in hand, can I go to the DMV and get a duplicate driver's license reissued without the temporary status on it. I am from NJ and would appreciate the comments from folks who have done this before me. Do I just need to carry my green card and my 6 point verification...

My 8 yr old daughter got a code 2 FP notice after our 485 approval and cards for spouse and myself(She had rec eived approval email and notice along with us). 1 hour after her FP, I got email from CRIS for her card production and 3 days later, I got email again that card has been mailed and...
Just to let you guys know, I got approval notice mailed email on 06/26 and card mailed email on 06/28. However, they were actually mailed on 06/28, not on 06/26 as mentioned in approval email so got both notice and card on same day, 07/02. So dont worry too much on this account.
Why highlight and single out individual cases at such alarming regularity on a forum where people on all sides are on their edges. Naturally, no one likes being pointed to and Sachatur is probably trying to give a rational explanation for his as well as the other July approvals. If his was the...
Congrats Jack. Its good to hear about so many approvals. USCIS,inspite of its goof-up, is bringing in relief to a lot of people who have been hanging in there for so long. Hopefully, old timers will get approved fast so that the new ones who apply now wont have to suffer like the old timers...
For my approval notice, the envelope was stamped "return service requested", the green card envelope did not have such a stamp so I presume it would have gotten forwarded. Some folks on forum mentioned that their cards did get forwarded....
I think they are pretty much covered if they clear 2 out of the 3 background checks, was reading it in a post in the Retrogession forum. Besides, CP cases are always assigned visa nos. which ,if not approved for some reason, revert back to the pool.
Agree with Jack. They definitely gave away EB1 India and EB2 Row numbers to EB3/EB2 India even when people in these categories are still waiting with their visas current. If proven so, they will have to do some sort of adjustment to make up for this injustice to EB1 and ROw categories so come...
With everyone on the lawsuit bandwagon, why not have a lawsuit for all the EB1 candidates who have been current all along , guys who hardly saw any recent approvals and their numbers suddenly become unavailable out of the blue. Clearly their numbers were given away to EB3/EB2. How come no one is...
After Galactus' comprehensive post, there is not much that I can add except to validate his point that a master's from a credible university is good enough given all that you can provide in your favor. I have a master's too(and like you, finished my PhD coursework before jobs lured me), however...
While that is true, there are plenty of cases whose NC have been cleared and who are still sitting. Maybe its these cases or cases that have been sitting on the shelves stuck in NC for years. Maybe USCIS has nudged the FBI to clear up those cases.
As for the OP's question read this ...
