As I understand it with Australia and other countries you can import your driving history and get lower premiums on insurance has anyone here done that?

How long did you wait until you leased a car? Did you find that insurance was more expensive or was it included as part of the lease price?

It’s funny zero comes out as more expensive than putting say 30k. Question are we allowed to use the discount t that aca gives us or does that come under public charge.

Its amazing the price difference as well between automatic and manual cars there as well. You can pick up a bargain if you know how to drive stick.

Is our overseas income prior to moving to the USA taken into account when applying for Obamacare? If so do I put the total earned from January to the month I move in the income section (all earned outside of the USA) it just put zero?

And at the end of the day as long as you’re happy that’s all that matters.

I guess we just wanted a place where we could continue on the conversations once we had all moved to the United States. We all seem to have a pretty great rapport which of course is thanks in part to this forum bringing us all together. As more of us make the move no doubt there will be more...

Plus you are limited with the amount of miles you can use over the cost of a year right? Is leasing common in the United States?

Wow I didnt realize that the big ticket cars drop that much in a small time frame. I guess its the same with the smaller ones but it doesnt seem like as much of a drop.

Are most of y’all planning on staying in an air bnb vrbo or extended stay place before you secure work or are you going to sign a lease and pay the higher security deposit and get a long term place ( for those not buying straight away)
