Having just filed my I-485 and not even the FP, yet I see people with RD of 2004 and still waiting really scares me. Waiting for the PD to become current was just a mild step compared to the NC delays that so many seem to be caught in.
This cant be good for my heart.
So once you file for the I-485, is it recommended that you maintain your H1-B extension route or go to EAD? what are the advantages of one versus the other if any?
I see a lot of folks who filed the I485 a while back yet have PD that are after mine. Is this a new thing where you have to wait for your PD to be current before filing for the I-485 or was my lawyer just being lazy?
They received my I-485 on May 14th, got the notice in the mail yesterday for FP on 06/15... so thats almost a 1 month window from filing date to FP appointment. Once thats done though I can only wait for the name check to clear. I hope its quick.
