JK is right about Copy of I140 . i do have a copy of approval notice but also applied for FOIA.(just being curious) As per "maya" :) well..it is all cause and effect...
i think what realcandian is saying is most relevant and valid since i myslef have management degree which is 4 years after 10+2 . mine is eb3 and I140 is apporved in June.It all depends on how employer has advertised it and the whatever he has advertised it should match with DOL codes...
you can try FOIA without any G28 form and you don't need your employer or lawyer. You can do it yourself . Download the form and ask for underlying labor(forms ETA750A&B) along with the I140 receipt.
file G28 papers ASAP..
I believe you cannot do anything if you have already sent the Ac21 papers( which you did) hey it could be that somebody touched your case and you might get approved soon. i believe you did your FP too..if so sit tight and relax..
if you get an intermEAD then i don' think you will have this document.(it is just one document) .
After the Interm EAD you should have gotten the actual EAD in the mail ..if not then you might want to call CS no or check your status on your existing EAD
1.when you get the EAD card the card is attached to approval letter it is called EAD mailer (similar to the one when you receive a credit card)
2. The first portion of the EAD mailer .(just like when you get a bill (electricity or cable)you can tear the portion of the bill and send it back...
regarding birthcertificate go to town hall (in the town where baby was born) and they should give you the certificate. You can get 2nd original for extra $5 or so
As long it is similar or same (job title and Job description) then you should be ok.
Check here if you have your job code.

i know you are saying it in good faith but i have been seeing/reading ginnu's answers for a long time now and i think he opted this approach for a reason
the best person to answer this is ginnu himself..
It may not be applicable in all cases but there are certain situations where you can maintian H1 atleast for some period of time.
Ex: let's say your H1 is valid untill 2005 June. you decided to use EAD in OCt 2004 then untill June 2005 . if something happens to your I485 then you can come...
wait utill I140 is approved and also after 180 days of filing of I485 ..if you have to change the jobs...even if you change the jobs using EAD try to maintain your H1 so that if something happens to I485 you will still be legal .. while you are filing MTR etc...
