Well yes it was surprising, BUT not everyone had the same happy experience. Suva was *amazing* and just somehow ignored the quota entirely, but other embassies (such as Sydney) were more cautious (Sydney stopped under 2400).
It's also a little surprising (and a bit scary) to see OC so clearly...
Whilst the last 2NLs took it to the max, I don't think they have created a terribly bad exhaustion problem. Certainly not the same as DV2023 where they stopped the process on Sept 6th. So, they might hit the cap in late September, but hopefully they would do what they did in DV2022 which would...
It's a bit high. The OC case density in DV2025 (51%) is higher than DV2024 (42%). So your DV2025OC24XX number is "higher" than the exact same number in DV2024.
So, even if we take the final VB as realistic (which it really wasn't) then it means you have some risk for your number. All you can...
Yes probably, but there would be no harm in emailing them.
OC will smash the quota now anyway, and asking SYD why they can't be more like SUV would seem like an understandable question.
SYD just marked 4 cases as READY – one AS region and 3 OC. The numbers for the OC region are:
2024OC2002
2024OC2032
2024OC2045
As you can see, although the VB went crazy high, SYD didn’t go that far – not even close. SUV on the other hand took cases to nearly 2600. That’s kinda unfair – but...
Unfortunately, the VB being current up to 50,000 does not mean there is a chance for many cases that high. Several embassies have reached their capacity with numbers in the low 30's.
So it is likely you won't get a 2NL
By setting so many interviews they have ensured they will exceed the OC quota. That means they are taking "unused" quota from another region. The rules allow for that, and the way they have made capacity available means it's going to happen.
Auckland only took 4 cases at numbers under 2100 - so...
Wow Suva took 100 cases today. Congratulations - they decided to blast through the regional quota
They didn't quite reach the VB limit - but OC2599 was the highest.
Just to point out, there are two questions on the entry regarding chargeability. The question number 5 is place of birth. I'm sure you chose Algrria as you said.
However, question 6 is ONLY answered in cases where your chargeability is different for some reason than your place of birth. SO...
You could file a mandamus lawsuit to try and get action, but chances are they will finish your 221g soon anyway. But it's your choice. I think Curtis Morrison charges about $4k
