    DV 2013 Program-Online Registration October 4 - NOV 2ND, 2011.

I'm not sure it's about DV-2012 Though as an ex-"winner" I hope to be wrong and it IS related after all... An interesting question is why did the message state "Please keep your confirmation number until at least September 2013"? Why until Sep. 2013?? Even if there will another draw whose...

    Dv lottery Claims

Of course you can Any selectee who is in the U.S. legally (on F-1/F-2, J-1/J-2, H-1B/H-4, etc.) can start a process called Adjustment of Status (AOS) once his/her number will be current. In many ways, this process is easier than doing the process from abroad. Good luck!!

DV 2013 - Do Asian applicants have a tiny bit more chances than in DV 2012?

I'll try again, yet slower this time Number allocated to a given REGIONAL 'pot' is not static every yr, it changes proportional to the 'eligible' total population of the REGION True, the number allocated to a given region isn't static, but it changes NOT with proportion to the eligible total...

DV 2013 - Do Asian applicants have a tiny bit more chances than in DV 2012?

It's marginal, yet it still exists So for DV 2013 the European region just "earned" Poland, a country that had high rates of immigration, while Asia "lost" Bangladesh, a country that has a high rate of immigration (and was responsible to HALF of all the entries in DV 2012, many of which were...

DV 2013 - Do Asian applicants have a tiny bit more chances than in DV 2012?

@NuvF - it's the other way around! The main principle in the DV lottery is that each region sending FEWER immigrants to the U.S. in the previous 5 years would get MORE diversity visas. http://www.dhs.gov/xlibrary/assets/statistics/publications/FSDiversityLPR2004.pdf Thus the fact that...

DV 2013 - Do Asian applicants have a tiny bit more chances than in DV 2012?

Hi all, This question may sound goofy, but I was just thinking about it: for DV 2013 Bangladesh was disqualified, and no other Asian countries were added. Does it mean that if Asia will get the same number of visa allotment as in DV 2012, that Asian applicants will have a slightly higher...

For Dv 2012 May 1st selectees!!

To raevsky 1. because the decision will be against plaintiffs Well, since I lost my crystal ball, it's impossible for me to tell the future. You obviously have your own crystal ball - good for you!! Just one comment on AOS vs. CP: it used to be the case that CP was faster than AOS, but that...

For Dv 2012 May 1st selectees!!

I don't think ANYONE can throw out July selecrees The best case scenario that the May 1 selectees (like myself) could hope for is that the 22,000 will be ADDED to those selected in July. Then there will be more applicants for each Green Card, and they might run out well before Sep. 30, 2012...

Another reminder to all May 1st selectees!!!

Regarding Kurzban There's seems to be unwillingness to believe that Kurzban is legit or whether his office is "really" behind the appeal. However, there is no proof those emails really come from that lawyer. That is what the previos posts were saying More than a month ago I paid $100 to...

Another reminder to all May 1st selectees!!!

Turning sour, aren't you? Kunato, Though I hardly want to, you've made me stoop to your level, since you insist on turning to personal invectives. So here goes: I don't give a flying f&*% what you think about me or about anything else:p. If the court will decide to accept our appeal it'll...

Another reminder to all May 1st selectees!!!

The fact those letters were computer-generated has no meaning: they're formal letters by the DOS for every intent and purpose, and the fact the DOS issued them by mistake is their problem, not that of the 22,000. Second, the applicants who submitted after the 4th day were already remedied...

Another reminder to all May 1st selectees!!!

I don't think the argument is about randomness anymore Kunato - let me guess: you're not one of the 22,000, right? In any case, if you read carefully Kurzban's first appeal document (Sep. 9), he doesn't go for the random selection argument, but rather the broken contract: each of the 22,000...

Another reminder to all May 1st selectees!!!

Some answers Kunato- sorry for not attaching earlier some links about Mr. Kurzban and his law firm: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ira_J._Kurzban He's a Miami-based attorney who is one of the leading immigration lawyers in the U.S. He's the "former President (1987–88) of the American...

Another reminder to all May 1st selectees!!!

Hi, On Nov. 26 Mr. Kurzban, the lawyer who filed the appeal, said he only received $2050 so far. Since apparently someone gave $500, it means that maybe only 15 people have donated money. THIS IS A CALL TO ANY MAY 1ST SELECTEES TO DONATE AS MUCH AS THEY CAN. I can understand that for...

For Dv 2012 May 1st selectees!!

I think the problem is for those who sent forms to KCC My spouse and I returned to the U.S. after a vacation abroad without a problem (we're on J-1/J-2 visas). But then again, we haven't sent any forms to the KCC. I think the person who got his visa denied in Canada did send out forms.

For Dv 2012 May 1st selectees!!

Kurzban mentions the 22000 yet without the number Here it goes: "This appeal challenges Defendants' decision to annul the results of the 2012 diversity visa lottery and to redo that lottery to the detriment of Plaintiffs, a class of individuals who received notification after the first...

For Dv 2012 May 1st selectees!!

It's not necessarily about the whole 100,000 If Kurzban will argue a broken contract (the form that each selectee received) between the U.S. government and the 22,000 then it would include only those 22000. Then again, it's way too early to even consider those options...

For Dv 2012 May 1st selectees!!

When we'll get to that bridge Let's hope the court will rule in our favor, then worry about whether DOS will appeal to the Supreme Court or not:) In any case, if just 800 people (out of 22,000) will donate $100 each we should be OK. PLEASE CONTRIBUTE ASAP!!

For Dv 2012 May 1st selectees!!

The chances are slim indeed, but... The thing is that after this appeal will be decided in court it will really be over. So this is basically the last chance, slim as it may be. This last chance with one of America's best immigration lawyers (who already won cases against the U.S. government)...

For Dv 2012 May 1st selectees!!
