Pending Asylum Support Group

Everyone,

I want to start this thread as a support group for anyone who is either waiting for an interview or waiting for a decision.

I personally am currently waiting for a decision after the interview. The process is draining. It has definitely influenced my mental health. I believe I am not alone here, so I am starting this peer support thread where we can just simply talk to each other and get by the day. I am also thinking about setting up a call line where we can talk and support each other if anyone is interested.

How is everyone doing? Would love to hear while waiting.

Hello! Waiting on decision too. Going crazy checking the app all the time. Interview 06/30 in Miami. You?

Waiting decision San Francisco office almost 8 months.
March interview.
Status change to decision pending .
March 19 Change to application pending
August 15 Change to Decision pending
October 17 change to application pending again

I know it’s hard but i hope we end with good out come .

The back and forth for status changing is at the very least not a straightforward denial. But this is definitely not a easy process.

I feel you. Hope we all have good results.

I understand that finding someone who can talk to for asylum process is hard. I hope this can make our lives better.

Did you also get the “you completed your interview with uscis” status Oct 17?

exactly.its seem like such new update since they apply the new asylum fees considering all case are application pending with USCIS till they give you your decision.
creating one status for all pending asylum applicants .
 
06/30 interview
07/1 Decision pending
10/17 you completed your
Interview with uscis
10/17 application pending
