Will there be a DV 2027?
Traditionally the registration period opens on early October but, so far no announcements on the DoS website or the Federal Register.

They wouldn't go through all the hassle of introducing $1 fee and a passport requirement just not to run the damn thing...
 
Not the first year there’s been a “why haven’t they announced it yet” post. Pretty sure the last time was under Trump too lol.

Federal Register says fee proposed to be introduced 30 days after announcement, which was Sept 16. So maybe the lottery period will shift a bit this year for that.

Confirms that DV is delayed but that it will happen, and that the $1 fee will be implemented. It appears the passport requirement will not be instituted yet: “However, due to the time required for finalization, this passport rule will not be implemented this year”.
 
From November 2025 Visa Bulletin:
Dates for the DV-2027 program registration period will be widely publicized in the coming months. Those interested in entering the DV-2027 program should check the Department of State’s Diversity Visa web page in the coming months.
"coming months"! Why the plural?

It's a copy and paste. Previous announcements had exactly the same language regardless of when VB with current results was published wrt actual entry period. See: https://travel.state.gov/content/tr...in/2024/visa-bulletin-for-september-2024.html
