Thanks Ginnus. More specifically, my H4 is valid from 02/19/2004. But the notice date on the I-797A is 03/30/2004. Do you think that I was legal to work in 03/2004 because that is when I received the approval notice? Thanks again.

After my application for change of status from H1 to H4 was approved in 02/2004, I continued working for my H1 employer and getting paid for 3 more months. Am I considered out-of-status during those 3 months? Do my H4 remain valid? Thanks in advance. YMH
