    Thank you for your help. I still have a backup plan just in case I cant get a job. But I need to make sure that I dont get seriously out of status and get banned from entering the states again for 3/10 years. Does anyone know if it is 180 days? Thanks.

    Hi, I got my H-1B in November 2005, and so far I havent signed any contract with my current employer. Lets assume that in less than a year I find a new job in other US company or decide not to pursue my career in US anymore, will I be sued by my current company? Thanks a lot. Chin-Khai Tang
