    waiting period for registering marriage

    I am a Canadian Citizen and I am livingwith my Fiance in Texas-do I have to wait a certain # of days before we go and get married in the court? Wwe want to be able to get register our wedding so we can start the green card process- I am not here on the K1 visa.
