guess so.... The USA is still a great country. After leaving my home
country, I have continusly in the USA for 11 year... as well as 9 years
in a couple of EU countries. I compared both and now I seemed to
have a different conclusion... :(
I suppose I'll end up like one of those people...
No, in fact, I recently(3 months ago) started a new job making almost 70% more than my last job.
However, last week, I interviewed and was offered a new job in a EU nation. If I accept their offer, I will
end up making way less money, probably less than USD$89000 per year, before the...
I did not want to give an answer without thinking about it carefully.
so, I decide to ponder this question for at least 5 months and marked it
on my calendar. well, today is the day I marked and I'll provide my answer
now........
after 5 months of careful consideration, taking...
I recall reading about that one.... The US Border Patrol has the authority to
setup checkpoints inside the US... however, I believe they are only allowed
to do this 50 miles from the nearest US/Canda or US/Mexico border. Do you
know if it's 50 miles or 40 miles or something else? Where can...
I'll probably just reply: "can't you read? it's right thre on my U.S. passport!"
(although it's probably a bad way to reply to a CBP officer's questions :D )
I will finally leave the US on a short int'l trip... first one after becoming a US citizen last month. do new US citizens get extra questioning when returning to the US for the first time? the CBP officer will obviously see that I have a brand new passport. :D
at my local post office, the line for passport application is rather long, almost every single time I've been down there... the wait is 20 minutes to an hour. :(
:D
back to Craig Ferguson.... I wonder his naturalization application got approved? On the N400, it specifically asks if you're a habitual drunkard. Ferguson was an alcoholic, wasn't he? He isn't one now, so does that mean the USCIS doesn't care, as long as you have becom sober after rehab?
that's why I'm confused as well.... if there had only been around 30 million naturalized citizens over the last 100 years, that's not a very large number. just consider the fact that there are estimated to be 12 millino illegal aliens inside the US right at this very moment)
I have a quick question about a child born out of wedlock in foreign country to naturalized US citizen father? The father has lived in the US for 9 years continuosly as a greencard resident, and just became a US citizen this year. I read something that said the father has to have lived in the...
are Naturalization Certificates numbered consecutively?
my certificate, received last month, has a 8-digit number, 31XXXXXX.
my friend's certificate, issued in 2000, have a 30XXXXXX.........
after a quick search on Google, I noticed the certificates issued as early as
1960 only have...
not just in Puerto Rico... Spanish is essentially the second official language of the United States.
I took Spanish lessons for several months back in 2006. Being able to speak and understand Spanish language is great if you live in, or near, a major US city in the continental US! :)...
