SFSD, I am yet to see an EB approval with 2 years of validity. I am the beneficiary of the namecheck memo and our welcome letters indicate that our cards are valid for 10 years. You are the only case I have heard of. So I agree with the other posts in this thread and with my earlier post where I...
I am also hearing from all my expert friends that they have never heard of a conditional greencard in a case like this. They all agree that this may be an administrative error on USCIS's part.
Take a look at posts # 92 to # 105 in the following link. It seems that people getting i-485 approvals based on the new memo may be receiving "conditional" green cards with a 2-year validity period! It hasn't been confirmed yet but a forum member received this information from USCIS customer...
Conditional EB Green Cards
Hi everybody,
This is the second time I hear of the "conditional" employment-based green cards (see post # 92 in this thread). I am one of the people who has been approved this week after a long namecheck delay. I hope the issue of a "conditional" green card is not...
Conditional Green Cards
The following message was posted by member "SFSD" in another topic. Has any of the recently-approved forum members received a Welcome Notice similar to this? I have never heard of a conditional 2-year labor-based green card? Is this an error or is...
No fingerprints required after 15 months
Thanks Vahid. I am confirming that the ONLY fingerprints we submitted were in February 2006. 25 months later, my wife and I received our i-485 approvals without any additional fingerprint requests.
Approved based on new memo?
This morning, my wife and I received the following email for each of our i-485 petitions. I assume it means that our i-485s have been approved :) I have been stuck in namecheck since Feb. 3, 2006 (per FBI mail in response to my letter to the First Lady...

Extended Review
"Additional Review which has caused a delay in processing my case" has been the generic term that USCIS has used in responding to each of my service requests over the past 2 years. If you ask me, it could be one of many, many USCIS internal procedures or inter-agency checks...
Hi mmubeen,
If I were you, I would:
-- Rejoice!
-- Verify that your i-485 has indeed been approved (call customer service and book InfoPass appointment)
-- Book InfoPass appointment and get the permanent residency stamp on your passport and verify with the immigration officer the...
Hi everyone,
I submitted my fingerprints exactly 2 years ago. Since then, my NC has been pending with the FBI. Now, I am hoping this new NC memo will start taking effect in the next few months and I can get my i-485 approval.
The question is: can I take an Infopass appointment and submit...
Fingerprints are valid for 15 months.
In my case for example, since my fingerprints are older than 15 months, I am hoping to receive a fingerprint notice as a result of the recent namecheck memo. That would be the first sign in my case that things are moving as a result of the new memo (I...
I saw a copy of this memo from a top immigration corporate law firm. They are confirming the memo is correct. If it goes into effect, this will be the biggest news in immigration circles in years!!!
