I am a Canadian citizen but have lived and worked in the US for many years. I am a senior citizen and receive social security from the US as well as Old Age Pension from Canada.
I spend four to five months out of each year in Canada.
Since 2008 was the first year I received OAS from Canada I believe I must file Canada Income Tax this year. I filed US income tax but it was rejected because I did not make enough money from SS to qualify to file taxes.
Must I report my US social security when I file Canada taxes.
