I am a Graduate Student and almost at the completion of my degree. My class in the fall quarter ( Sept-December) was an internship that the International students office approved as a CPT and it was the only class that I was enrolled in. However, my advisor extended my I-20 till november knowing that my internship ended in December. I contacted my advisor recently since I am anot taking my last class in the program and getting ready to apply for the OPT, and she told me that my I-20 expired in November and there has been a few days past the 60 day limit within which a student has to renew the I-20. I am in a fix now since, my advisor tells me I have lost my OPT and my present legal staus is illegal. I dont know what must I do. Please HELP.
