I was working with a top-notch company but have been laid off suddenly without any prior notice. I was on L1 and I do not have a H1 visa. I would like to know that if I get hired by any other company which is ready to sponsor my H1, can I start working there? I was all settled here and suddenly everything seems to be over! My partner is studying here. There is no way I can just pack my bags and go back! What is the alternative? Even if I have to go back, when can I be back at the earliest?
