Hi J1 victim, I followed your advice and started a post here.
You guys have valid points, everybody's situation is different. I called the LC/CP a loophole not becuase it's illegal (loopholes are never illegal) but becos it is not mentioned anywhere on...
Hi, fellow J1s.
I recently got my GC after 10 long years. I found out the loophole in the system a little in the game but "better late than never" and would like to spread the word around so that no J1 has to go through any more pain and suffering than is absolutely necessary.
The...
Go for CP
In my opinion (and experience), CP and 485 are two completely unrelated processes. We had our 485 pending when we went last month for our AC-140 CP interview to Delhi. They did not ask us even once about our 485 (becos CP is based on an approved 140 and has nothing to do with 485)...
Sorry folks !
Sorry, I got really busy as I had to rejoin my job the very next morning after landing in the US (our flight got delayed because of fog and we came back one day late). Also jet lag took its toll.
The reason why it took me 10 years to get GC is because I was part of the...
Good answer, J1 victim
All of us J1 victims should atleast get back some returns from one US Govt.department (IRS) in exchange for the suffering caused us by another US Govt dept (INS).
No problem with EB2
EB2 is current at this time and you don't need to worry about Priority Date. Make sure your husband's name was included in your 140.

Hi everybody,
My wife and I had a successful AC 140 interview at New Delhi on 12/23/04 and re-entered USA via Minneapolis yesterday. I would recommend everyone to use the CP process, especially all ex-J1 physicians.
Details are:

AC-140 interview on 12/23/04
Sorry folks,
I've been posting on the 485 forums all these months but finally got tired of waiting and applied for AC-140 in New Delhi and am going for interview on 12/23/04 (leaving US tomorrow).
PD: 05/2003; EB2

Embassy reply
My AC-140 package was received at the Delhi embassy on Sept.2,2004. My family in Delhi received the letter with the case number around the 19th or 20th of September.
slw3K,don't tempt me !
Hi slw3k,
Please don't tempt me to pour out my long and bitter experiences with INS in the last 10 years. This is our 3rd I-485 application and we have entered our 7th year on our H1 visa this month (extension application pending). Part of the problem is the different...
