As far as I know, 1) Yes, you can step out of the country. 2) No, it won't affect on his F1, but isn't a good idea to have him on H4, while you will be on H1. (just a suggestion).

All, I am employed with a US-bases company at its subsidiary office in Pakistan. Now this company is sponsoring me H1B. Is it OK? Can they do that? Or, my company can only sponsor L1 visa??? Please reply me URGENT. Thanks.:confused::confused:
