Just corrected my approval date - it's 9/8/04, not 9/25/04. I think it was changed by accident. Sorry RPB8260, I think that throws off your stats a bit.
Continued good luck to everyone!

To edit the list...
I only realized that Boston was using INFOPASS the day before I planned to go for the stamp. I was away on vacation when I was approved, arrived back on Saturday, and went the next Monday (20th) to get the stamp. I checked INFOPASS on Sunday night and the earliest appointment was on the 27th...
GC stamp in Boston
I had my passport stamped today at the JFK Federal Building in Boston. I decided not to kill myself getting there at 7am when they opened, so I arrived at 8:20am. There wasn't much of a line for security or for getting a number, so I cruised through that. But then it took...
Definitely passport style pictures, as from Sept. 1st, 2004 (between Aug. 1 and Sept. 1, both types were accepted, but now only passport style are accepted).

As usual, there's no consistancy in the USCIS. I got my medical exam done on 8/6/02, and my GC was approved on 9/8/04, with no RFE for medical tests. So in my case, they retained validity for >2 years!

Your time will come, mendieta... your time will come. :o
As for the medical records expiring - I've never heard/read anyone say that they've had to retake the tests, so my guess would be that they don't expire.

PS I go for my GC passport stamp tomorrow in Boston. I'll send a...
From what I understand, you just turn up at the local office listed on your approval notice. I'll be going to the Boston office tomorrow morning, very, very early!

Finally, my case has been approved :D. It happened while I was on vacation (seems to be a trend, too!). It took almost exactly 2 years to the day, and almost exactly 2 months from FP2 to approval.
Thanks to everyone on this thread who have given of themselves, advice or otherwise. Good...

I agree with this - I went 3 weeks before my appointment date (in Boston), and there was no problem. Take your passport and EAD and appointment notice (and anything else you think you might need, just in case!). Good luck!!

Ha, ha!! :D
As I'm sure you know, they're planning to change this. I'm not sure when it's going to be implemented, but I think EAD's are going to be valid for the time that it takes to obtain GC approval. Wouldn't that be sweet?!

I think the agents have all been on summer vacation. The previously steady stream of approvals seems to have slowed to a trickle. Hopefully September will return the flow to normal.

I would also add to this: if you use AC21 portability, you new just has to be in the same field, doing approximately the same thing. In other words, if you're a chemical engineer, you can't go flip burgers! ;)

Thanks for the clarification - that makes more sense!
My RFE was a letter of employment plus W-2's for the last 2 years.
I don't currently have a job, but I'm hoping to get an offer next week. Cross your fingers for me! :)
Yes, I will use AC21. I have a valid EAD and my I-485 has been...
Hi 616athem,
I'm not sure I completely understand your situation. I can't imagine how you could have 485 approval before 140 approval! At best they would be approved concurrently. I think I'm just misunderstanding your e-mail.
If your company shut down before you got 140/485 approval, but...
