My 2 cents Don't expect too much from the reps at the 800# or you'll get cranky yourself. They're all hopeless and they don't know anything more than you do. From the way they answer to you, did you ever notice that they're just reading right off the screen :D

sinting Keep in mind that once you're issued a green card you can not be out out of the country for more than 6 months. You said you're issued a gc when you're little. Did you go out of the country for more than 6 months ? If so, your gc is void. Your status now is TN Visa

Medical exam validity Unless they changed the rule recently what you said is not true. The medical exam report is valid for one year meaning that you have 1 year to file the AOS (485/130/ ...etc) after the medical is completed. Once it's filed then it's valid throughout the processing...

If that's the case, say your 485 was approved while you're out of the country, why can't you reenter the country using 485 approval notice ? Why do you still have to use AP to do that ? Are AP and EAD validity 2 different scenarios ? :confused:
