Finally my application was approved on Feb.

I checked today. My case is still "in the local office", does anyone know what is going on? Shall the "local office" send me application to the FBI immediately? What are they waiting for?

is there someone I can talk to other than the lawyer to speed this up? I really think the officer made a mistake. I sent a letter to her on Wednesday, and haven't heard anything from her back yet.
