Hi Sid1,
I could really use your help from your experience in the field of desi consultant. I am currently signed up with a desi consultant but now I got a job offer from another company that is also willing to sponsor my H-1B visa. This new company is very good and strong. My question is, if my current transfer of H-1B from company I got laid off to the desi consultant is still pending, and my new company applies for the transfer from desi consultant to themselves, what happens?
Also, desi consultant contract says I have to pay $5,000 if I break the contract within 2 years. Should I pay the $5,000 and get them off my back so I can happily work with new company? Is there anyway this desi consultant can hold on to my H-1B and stop it from transferring to my new recruiter?
Your help in this matter will be greatly appreciated, trust me. I need to know some of these things to proceed. Thanks a lot.
