Hi, I was in Ph.D. till Sum’10, but recently my committee rejected my written qualifier. In this situation, I applied for M.S and in a community college (CC) for some undergrad credits. I admitted in both, but I chose to join CC so that I can get physical therapy license for Virginia (already have for New York) and become eligible to claim for a better PhD. position and get back to Ph.D. Lack of general education credit was stopping me to do previously. Also, meanwhile I met with M.S coordinator to hold my admission in M.S for spring, so that I can either come back to master or if fortunate enough will get admitted in Ph.D. Now, I want to visit to India in Dec. Although, I have F1 visa valid till Oct’2012, but I am scared that when I will be coming back to US, the immigration dept. might send me back to India from port of entry, as I transferred myself from Ph.D. to undergraduate CC. Can anybody tell me if there is any chance that I could be stuck at the port of entry? Please help.
