Hello there guys, my name is Savannah and I am currently waiting for my asylum decision. Everything went well at the interview, but I was referred to the Immigration judge .The Officer felt that I applied a few days after the 1 year rule and she referred me to the IJ. Has anyone of you been in such a situatin?I am not allowed to apply for Work Authorisation til the 10th June 2010. also I went with my lawyer for the first hearing and the Judge gave me a new date; 3rd Jan 2010.. However I feel, it's such a long time to wait and I'm trying to convience my lawyer to write a letter requesting for an earlier hearing. Please give me some advice.. Should I wait to obtain my EAd first before I request an earlier hearing or what should I do??? I am just so frustrated with this whole ordeal and any advise from someone will help. Thanks..
