Hello all,
Someone has to have an answer for this. As you can tell I am posting this around 2:00 a.m.! It shows how upset I am over my situation. This has consumed me completely!
I am a US citizen, got married last year in March 2007 in India. I came back to US a month later and then I filed the I-130 petition in May 2007. The petition was approved in June 2007 which was great! Then, my husband got the visa interview on December 11, 2007 in New Delhi. He mistakenly answered wrong about my previous marriage when he was asked how many times I was married. My husband and I have a significant age difference; he is much younger than me.
Then, we were so horribly interrogated at the US embassy in New Delhi. They asked us the most horrible and personal questions like did you consummated the marriage and when was the last time you had physical relationship, etc.
Then, we were told that our petition is pending under 'administrative processing" starting January 2008. We were told that it might take up to 3 months and then our petition was transferred to the New Delhi Fraud Prevention Unit in March 2008.
It has been 11 months and they are still saying the same thing, “administrative processing.” I call the Embassy almost every week. The answer is always the same! I even hired a lawyer but he just filed another I-130 to make matters worse! He really took advantage of me.
I don't know what to do at this point. I am in so much mental tension that I can't describe. Has this happened to anyone before?
We submitted our original marriage certificate, his medical examination, police certificate, photographs, phone records, etc. in November 2007 which makes it 1 year.
We were told that the medical examination and police certificate would expire in a year. So shouldn't the Embassy give us some kind of an answer by now?
Another lawyer's office suggested that I should sue them. Please help, someone, anyone??
Thanks!!
