COS time I dont have immediate plans to go out of US and get my H1 stamped. How long does Change of Status take? Are there any issues with going for a COS? Also, can I start working as soon as I file for COS? (Where can I find the procedure to do a COS?) Thanks again

Thanks GotPR. In my case, the latest I94 is of type H4. So, I need to apply for a change of status or a H1 transfer, I presume. Anyhow, I will get things confirmed through a lawyer. Thanks again for the information.
