I am in a similar situation as you were while securing an H4 for your wife. My fiance is a Canadian citizen and I am an Indian citizen, currently in US on H1. We would be getting married in India and I want her to come with me to US.
In your post you mentioned that your wife did not get H4 status at the airport. If she did not get H4 then did they send her back to Canada or they allowed her to come as a visitor?
I am planning to bring my wife as a visitor and then apply change of status. Please help, I am getting conflicting information from different attorneys.
