I came to US for the first time on May 2006 on H1B visa through Company A. H1-B validity is Nov 2005- April 2008. Company A applied for new L1-B in August 2006 while I was in US. I received the petition papers of L1-B and I-94 in September 2006. My L1B is valid till Aug 2009.
Till now in my passport there is no L1 stamping as I have not visited India since May 2006 after I came to US.
H1B visa got expired on April 2008 (Date mentioned in I 94 was up to April 2008).
Can you please answer to my below queries-
1. Is it possible to transfer H1-B visa that has got expired in April 2008 to company B.
if it is possible, is there any time limit within which I need to transfer H1-B.
2. Incase I visit India now and get L1-B visa stamped in my passport, does it impact in any way? Can old (expired) H1 still be transferred to Company B when passport has L1-B stamp?
Please answer to my questions.
