I am in the same boat. Filed 485 in Dec 04. FP1 in Feb, FP2 in Jun. My lawyer thinks that USCIS is trying to streamline the process so that you don't have to wait long to get the plastic card once the 485 is actually approved. Till now once you were approved you would have to go down again...

So you need a Canadian visa to enter Cananda but coming back to US shouldnt be a problem with AP, right?
