Mr Vertigo I might lose my GC because I am going to stay in India for 5 years without visiting US. I am not sure how and when USCIS will inform me when my GC will be terminated.

Thanks WBH. Do you know the approximate processing time for such family based GC processing? Can I apply for the GC even when I am not in US? If I need to live in US while my GC is getting processed, what kind of visa do I need to apply to live in US?
