It is unclear how to make a post - am I doing it right? why am i limited to 1000 characters?
I am from the UK. July 4th (2009) I met a lady, my true love, in New Mexico. Long story short - we are engaged to be married. the set date is June 15th 2011 in England. I am spending much more time in the US than the UK, although I have a 9-year old son, whom I visit regularly. I am not working illegally in the US. I am able to make money here playing online poker, which goes into my English bank-account. I also go back to the UK periodically to earn money as well as visit my boy.
I recently learnt about a "6-month rule" where you are not allowed to spend more than 6-months in a year in the US - to prevent people returning home for a week at a time. Does anyone know anything about this? Does it apply for a calendar year, or 12 consecutive months?
