Received a text message that the Approval Notice for I-765 was sent to us on March 18th. Interview in 2 and half weeks. Will let you guys know how it went after we come back from interview.

Actually it took 2 months even. The case is being processed at National Benefits Center. I filed the package at Chicago, IL local office.

Update. I just received an email from USCIS that the card for I-765 was ordered for production and that she should receive it within 30 days. Now onto the interview for GC :)

The SSN is hers alone. She got it 16 years ago because she could not get the driver license. She applied at the SS office and got the SS and then Driver License. Times have changed though. You won't be able to do this now.

No she has not. This is the first time for AOS. Back in the 1988-89 she applied for the extension of the tourist visa and got it. Then she left. She came back in 1994 again and has been here since then.
