I am in utter need of some help and guidance. My family constitutes of me and my 2 siblings and all of us are working in u.s. on h1b visa for 1-2 years; a widowed mother (still in india). Since my mother will be alone in india, we want to bring her to usa for good. The problem is that if she comes on visitor visa like B1, she can stay only 6 months in us and would then have to go back to india for about 3-6 months before coming back to u.s. again. Please tell us if there is a way that she can stay in u.s. for good without going back to india for a period of months..eg, is it possible to go some country like mexico/ canada to get visitor visa restamping done; or if I or my sister can bring her to u.s. as our dependent on H4 visa since she would be a single mother whose all the children are in u.s.
OR tell me if you can think of any other new innovative way of dealing with this problem. I would really appreciate your help!!
