Letter of explanation to why I failed to register with Selective service
OK I really need some help
I was not registered with the selective service, and due to that I am no able to work for gov. jobs. My boss told me that I would need a letter from selective service to start working again for this job. So now I don't have a job until this is taken care of.
On the website I found that I would need to "request a letter of status" now because I am now 35 and didn't register before 26. Well I only immigrated to the United states 5 months before my 26th birthday and didn't know I had to register. I now have to write a letter explaining the reason why I failed to register with selective service.
I entered the USA on Jan 27 2000 as a refuge pursuant to section 207 of the INA for and indefinite period of time.And now I am a citizian of the United States sense March 4, 2009.
Can some on please help me with and example of the letter I need to write?
