HELP:: AOS for DV2006

LucyMo, CIS regulations also state "who previously has been out of status" ineligible I have similar (or worse) problems - 4 months out of status and 2 months illegal presense (alas, due to attorney mistake!) - and still my lawer told me I am eligible for AOS - though I dont understand how...
