hey Rosewine,
I was thinking the same thing, but this morning my fiance is freaking out about if when we're interviewing for the sponsorship officials interrogate us about what we stated were our intentions when entering the country. She's worried that if they found she lied upon first...
Hey Mom1211,
Unfortunately it's more complicated than that. Yes, they might want to see papers on the sponsorship, but we're not married yet. No visa is required either as a spouse, fiance, etc. But as a visitor, intent to stay without any kind of paperwork could be a problem.
thanks for...
Thanks MOM1211,
So what's the proper paperwork? We haven't married yet and so I don't know what paperwork I would need to fill out. From browsing online it seems like a "fiance visa" isn't required. I'm wondering what other visa, etc. would be required.
thanks for your insight,
m
My fiance and I are uncertain about how difficult it will be at the border, here's the situation:
I'm canadian, moving back to Canada from the U.S. after 10 years.
My fiance is American.
We're intending on living and working in Canada, and are getting married in Vancouver next month...
