My husband is a US citizen and we are in the process of completing the I-485 & I-130. I came in the US with a student visa and I graduated from college 6 years ago.
I have some questions regarding I 485 and I hope someone can help me:
1) Part 1: current USCIS Status... what do I need to put in there since I graduated from college 6 years ago? Do I put Out of Status? Also, what expiration date do I use for the I-94 section? When I came in here, the immigration officer put D/S "Duration of stay" i believe.
2) Also, I decided to take my husband's last name has my new family name. All my papers, IDs, passports, SS cards are showing my maiden name. I cannot request any name change until I am approved by the USCIS. Should I use my husband name on all the INS forms or should I use my maiden?
